How to Verify a Domain?

Simply adding a domain to the RHL ASM Platform is not sufficient to initiate scanning and analysis. To enable scanning, domain ownership must be verified.
The platform provides two methods to complete this verification:

Validate by DNS

This method requires you to add a TXT record to your domain’s DNS settings.

1. Go to Seed Information under the Settings tab.
2. In the Domains section, locate the domain you wish to validate.
3. Click on the Validate by DNS option for that domain.
4. A pop-up window will appear displaying:
   • Domain Name
   • TXT Record
   • TXT Content
5. Add the provided TXT record to your domain’s DNS configuration.

   Instructions may vary depending on your domain host:

6. After saving the record, return to the platform and click Verify.
7. Upon successful validation, a confirmation message will be displayed.
8. The domain will now be marked as verified, completing the process.

Validate by Support

This method allows you to request domain verification from the RedHunt Labs support team.
Note: This process may take longer than DNS-based validation.

1. In the Domains section under Seed Information, locate the non-validated domain.
2. Click the Validate by Support option next to the domain.
3. A message will confirm: Validation Request Raised Successfully.
4. Once your domain has been validated by the support team, a green indicator will appear next to the domain.

Both methods confirm domain ownership and enable full scan and monitoring capabilities for the added domain.
