What Does the Scan State Signify?

The scan state represents the current condition of an organization's scan process.
The RHL ASM Platform performs two types of scans—Slow Scan and Fast Scan—on the target domains specified by the user.

When an organization sets up a new account, no active scan is running by default. Hence, the initial scan state is set to "No Scan Running."

For accounts with a paid subscription, the scan state can transition between the following:

Scan Status – Scanning

For a paid organization, when a scan is actively in progress, the scan state is displayed as Scanning.
This status is shown at the left bottom corner of the platform interface above the profile button.

To learn how to initiate your first scan, see: How to Start My First Scan?

Scan Status – Monitoring

Once the scan has completed, the status changes to Monitoring.
This indicates that no scan is currently running, but the system continues to monitor for changes until the next scan cycle.
